Hidalgo County Health Facility Lab

E-Con Group managed a first of its kind biosafety lab facility for the Hidalgo County Health Department and utilized HUD funding through Urban County. This project consisted of a 10,000 square feet BSL-2, certified BSL-3 testing laboratory, clinic with drive-thru area and administrative offices. The Biosafety Lab has the capabilities to conduct microbiology, molecular, chemistry hematology and mycobacteriology tests that will serve the residents of Hidalgo County.

    • The project will maintain strict separation between construction zones and student areas, with phased handoffs to ensure safety, minimize disruption, and support the ongoing health needs of Hidalgo County residents.
